Dance of the Fireflies

(1 customer review)

Dance of the Fireflies is a stunning strategy game where players use Fireflies to pollinate flowers and then plant them in colourful flower beds.
The game concept was conceived by Oliver Brooks.
Illustrated by Amber Grundy & Victoria Hackett.
It is a game for 2 – 6 players.
Time per game is 15 – 30 minutes.

Dance of the Fireflies is a beautiful dirty simple strategy game for all the family.

Lord & Lady Backspindle need a new Head Gardener to look after the stunning Flower Beds in their family estate. They have decided to hold a competition to see who will win this revered job.

Players compete against each other using Fireflies to pollinate Flowers. Then they plant them in colourful flower beds. A full Flower Bed consists of 6 Flowers of different colours. Points are scored for full flower beds and night or day combinations. A player can have multiple Flower Beds, but cannot have two Flowers of the same colour in the same Flower Bed.
Players use the tactical deployment of their Fireflies and perhaps employ a little bit of sneakiness (by using their Royal Firefly) to outdo their opponent/s to win the coveted job.

Dance of the Fireflies is a beautiful card game featuring wonderful flower illustrations, however there is a competitive need to have the best garden. You bid on flowers around the sundial to place in your garden but the key is using each of the flowers perk to create a combo of effects to rack up the points. There is a lot of strategy to be found here and bunging a weed into your opponents garden adds to the tension. Really deceptively strategic game!
